Kirstie’s homemade compost to cut waste rates
TV’s Kirstie Allsopp has joined with Rh to front a new spring initiative persuading people to turn their kitchen waste into compost.  She will be appearing in a heavyweight campaign on outdoor posters, bus sides and on radio explaining how kitchen scraps can easily be turned into garden compost.

It is estimated that around £10billion of food is throw away each year in the UK so this is an important direction for the Don’t let Devon go to Waste campaign.

Devon resident Kirstie said: “I’m thrilled to be lending my support to this campaign. Composting is an easy alternative to discarding food which may end up in landfill and it’s time to really get this message across.

Managing Director Paul Ridgers said: “We wanted to develop a campaign that was fun and informative and so our headlines urge people to turn Spuds into Buds, Caulis into Flowers and Tea Bags into Grow Bags.”
